The Town of Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to help clean up litter this Saturday, May 15, 2010 in preparation for the Memorial Day parade.
This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a Community Service Project and demonstrate your concern for your Town and the environment.
Your assistance is needed even if you can only participate for part of the event.
Volunteers will meet at Town Hall, at 9:00 a.m., prior to departing for the selected cleanup location so that Supervisor Messina, or his appointed representative, will have an opportunity to meet volunteers, provide instructions and distribute cleanup supplies, including safety vests, rubber gloves, trash bags and pick-up sticks.
Please remember to sign-in upon arrival. Certificates of participation will be made available for individuals wishing to receive them.
Participants should bring water to drink and wear slacks and long sleeve shirts for protection from cuts, scrapes and insect bites. Individuals under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
Information about community cleanup has been posted on the Town's website at http://www.townofbethlehem.org/pages/CleanupDays/cleanupdays.asp
